Aston Villa have completed the £9.5million capture of Charles N'Zogbia from Wigan Athletic.
N'Zogbia had just one year remaining on his Latics contract and owner Dave Whelan was against running the risk of losing him for free next summer.
The winger, who is naturally delighted at the move, could make his Villa debut in next Wednesday's pre-season friendly with Derby.
Villa moved for N'Zogbia after losing Stewart Downing to Liverpool and Ashley Young to Manchester United and the French ace is looking forward to working with manager Alex McLeish.
